Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation Ltd. (KVTSDC) and Karnataka State Unorganised Worker Social Security Board (KSUWSSB) as state Government run Recruitment Agencies (RA) assist, through the Migration Facilitation Architecture (MFA), all potential emigrants with regard to:
- Procedures to obtaining of the Indian Passport which is mandatory to possess for international travel of any nature
- Authentication of both academic and skill-specific certificates as per the requirement of the foreign employers
- Post-recruitment steps such as air ticketing, mandatory medicals, applying for insurance, payment of service charges to the RA, ensuring welfare & protection, and finally, coordination with the Indian Missions/Posts for assisting Indians in distress
Kindly note:
A. Service Charges The recruitment services to the potential migrants are offered at a service charge of Rs. 30,000/- plus GST extra as applicable per candidate. Additional charges such as medical examination fees, certificate attestation fees etc., will have to be borne by the potential migrants. The payment for the service charges can be made through (a) Cheque, (b) Net Banking transfer / BHIM App / UPI / NEFT / RTGS, (c) Debit Card/Credit Card, and (d) Deposit in Bank account. Note: Payment in cash is not accepted.
B. Mandatory Medicals It is mandatory for the candidate recruited to pass the medical test/s conducted by a doctor/hospital as accredited by the country the candidate is travelling to. It is extremely important to adhere to the health/safety advisories issued for all travellers including those proceeding on employment. For ex: in the case of travel to the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC), the mandatory medicals are conducted by GCC Approved Medical Centres Association (GAMCA) accredited medical test centres in India.
Kindly note, you may not be allowed to travel even if you have a valid visa in case your tests are positive for ailments/diseases that are listed by the country of destination. The RAs, through the MFA, will inform and assist the candidate in the registration for a medical test of the destination country.
C. Mandatory Insurance All candidates recruited by both the RAs-K are mandated to have insurance prior to their travel abroad. The nature of insurance policy depends on the country of destination and the foreign employer. All candidates with ECR passports, including nurses, travelling to 18 notified countries under the Emigration Act, 1983, shall apply for the mandatory Pravasi Bharatiya Bima Yojana (PBBY) prior to departure. For all others recruited by the RAs-K, the country and occupational-specific insurance guidelines shall be implemented.
