Migrant State Centre (MSC)

The Migrant State Centre (MSC) is located at Bengaluru and housed in the International Migration Centre – Karnataka (IMC-K), Kalyana Suraksha Bhavan. The Migrant State Centre -

  • Functions as a single point of contact on behalf of the State with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for all matters pertaining to the IMC-K and its related institutions
  • Builds and maintains sustained linkages with the Foreign Employers (FEs), Recruiting Agencies (RAs) - both Government and private, and other Industry bodies
  • Monitors the functioning of MRCs and MICs, including their horizontal and vertical integration, on all aspects including updating of the MIS of the emigrants
  • Proactively tracks the welfare and ensures the protection of migrants from Karnataka through Indian Missions/Posts throughout the migration cycle till return
  • Supports repatriation or hand holding of returnee emigrants in coordination with MIC and MRC
  • Attends to various grievances submitted by emigrants, families, returnees and others in coordination with the MADAD
  • Provides general counselling services for current migrants through a Call Centre
