The Government of Karnataka has registered both the Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation Ltd. (KVTSDC) and Karnataka State Unorganised Worker Social Security Board (KSUWSSB) as state Government run Recruitment Agencies (RA). Both the RAs are registered with the Protector General of Emigrants (PGE), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. They are thus guided by the rules and regulations laid in the Emigration Act 1983 & its revisions, and are closely monitored by the Office of the Protector of Emigrants (PoE), Bengaluru.
The KVTSDC and KSUWSSB are the only two authorized Government Recruitment Agencies (RAs) in Karnataka eligible for recruitment of women migrant workers travelling to 18 Emigration Check Required (ECR) countries as per the Emigration Act, 1983.
